How to Spend the Holidays in Blacksburg
Join the Winter Lights Festival downtown on December 6 for a festive start to the holiday season. Listen to the Blacksburg Children’s Chorale, join in the songs with Tuba Christmas at 6 p.m. (don’t forget to print your choir sheets) then grab some hot chocolate, sit back, and enjoy the parade.
For the perfect end to a Friday evening during the holiday season, join us at Preston’s for our seafood buffet. The Inn also has strolling carolers and complimentary hot cocoas from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Sundays in December, Santa will be hanging out in Blacksburg for brunch at Preston’s and photos with your kids. Naughty or nice, they can tell them what’s on their list, which he will be checking twice, of course.
Don’t let the holidays go by without a bowl of popcorn and a festive movie or two! Head to The Lyric Theater on December 21 to watch Elf with family and friends. Bah-Humbugs welcome!
It’s traditional to be home for the holidays, but it can be a welcome change to let someone else take care of the cooking and clean-up so you can slow down and enjoy this special time with loved ones. Preston’s welcomes all to its Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes buffet, annual Christmas Day brunch, or bring in the new year with a delicious four-course meal and champagne.
However you decide to spend your holidays, spend them surrounded by those you love and take the time to enjoy them to the fullest. We come to find that memorable experiences together are the best gifts of all.
Join us at The Inn and let us help you create a holiday season to remember.
